Cosi
DoMaur Productions
Location: Uniting Church Hall, Mount St. Burnie Map
Nowra’s vibrant play is set inside a psychiatric institution in 1971. Lewis, a young director, takes on the task of mounting a production of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte in the burnt-out theatre. He becomes emotionally involved with his patients-cum-actors as his operatic production lurches forward and anti-Vietnam protests rage outside.
First produced in 1992, COSI has become one of the most successful Australian plays produced in the last two decades.
A terrific play about madness, illusion, sanity… and theatre.

Quartet
Ulverstone Repertory Theatre Society
Location: Leven Theatre, Ulverstone Map
"Quartet" is a beautiful and delightful play that is both funny and touching. It is full of wicked and saucy humour about growing old and about art. It is a play of hope and confidence for people who in their retirement fear they may no longer have much to offer. It is a play that shows that old people still have a zest for life and still have the same desires, needs and worries as they did when they were young. To be directed by Emil Djakic. More info to follow.

Freaky Friday
Devonport Choral Society
Location: Devonport Paranaple Centre Map
POSTPONED Until MAY 2023
Try as they might, Katherine and Ellie just can’t seem to understand each other: Ellie wants her mum to stop trying to change her, while Katherine wants her daughter to be the best version of herself that she can be. On a fateful Friday, the day before Katherine’s wedding, something magical occurs when mother and daughter swap bodies. Now, both will have to?literally?spend a day walking in each other’s shoes, learning about each other and the struggles each goes through and forging a new mother-daughter relationship in this hilarious, energetic, and moving musical comedy.
Freaky Friday is based on the beloved 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films. It features a book by Bridget Carpenter – the co-executive producer and writer on the beloved TV hits, Friday Night Lights and Parenthood – and music and lyrics by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey – the Pulitzer Prize-winning composers of Next to Normal and If/Then.
